Inclusive decisions are wise decisions and part of the power of cooperatives rests on the idea that everyone holds part of the truth. Yet, decisions can bog down a group if you don’t approach it in the right way. This undermines our collective power and can lead to burnout or disengagement. Decision making isn’t always easy, and there are many ways to approach it. In this deep-dive session David Hammer, Executive Director of The ICA Group will provide an overview of the key elements of decision making, discuss different ways cooperatives can make decisions, and work through decision making exercises live to help participants put their knowledge to the test.
