NATIONAL HOME CARE COOPERATIVE CONFERENCE
From 2016 – 2025, CDF hosted home care worker cooperative members and developers at the Annual National Home Care Cooperative Conference and supported the overall growth of home care cooperatives nationally. As a result of this investment, together we hit our goal of 25 home care cooperatives by 2025. In addition, CDF supported the development of Elevate, a secondary cooperative for home care cooperatives incubated by the ICA Group, which will provide sustainable, member-led leadership for this initiative.
PODCASTS & WEBINARS
A series of educational podcasts on home care cooperatives was developed in October 2016 by the University of Wisconsin Center for Cooperatives in collaboration with the Cooperative Development Foundation through a grant from the USDA Rural Development. The podcasts address common issues shared by home care cooperatives and can be particularly useful for new cooperative members or individuals interested in starting home care cooperatives.

GRANT PROGRAM
The Cooperative Development Foundation is offered grants of up to $1,000 each to home care cooperatives to attend The Buyers Journey. The four-week workshop examines the decision-making process of prospective clients selecting home care services and job applicants making employment decisions. Understanding the process helps home care cooperatives tailor their communications and outreach to maximize client growth and caregiver recruitment.
