Measuring Impact for Utility and Housing Co-ops

Measuring impact is a valuable tool for cooperatives to communicate the importance of co-ops to their members, communities, and policymakers. In partnership with the Urban Institute, CDF and NCBA CLUSA developed The ABC's of Cooperative Impact, a seven-point evaluation framework.

To encourage use of this framework, CDF and NCBA CLUSA produced materials for utility and housing cooperative publications.  Materials include the article “A Framework for Measuring Impact,” a sidebar, and infographics for electric and housing co-ops. The materials can be found online at Utility Cooperative Toolkit and Housing Cooperative Toolkit.

Similar materials will be developed for other cooperative sectors.
