Cooperative Leaders and Scholars Institute welcomes its 2020 cohort
Thanks to CHS Foundation and CDF's Cooperative Education Fund, eleven young professionals participated in the Fourth Annual Cooperative Leaders and Scholars Institute (CLSI). Cooperators from Madison, WI to Bronx, NY to Atlanta, GA embarked on a learning journey from October 5 to 9.
The week kicked off with participation in a pre-conference course on excellence in member-centric governance and management through the International Centre for Co-operative Management at Saint Mary's University. Cathy Statz, education director of the Wisconsin Farmers Union, facilitated an orientation session which served to acquaint participants with each other and the program. Program participants attended NCBA CLUSA's Co-op IMPACT Conference and the Cooperative Hall of Fame. The program concluded with a wrap-up and debrief session.
