CHS Foundation Supports Cooperative Leaders and Scholars Institute

Thanks to a grant from the CHS Foundation cooperators aged 18 to 35 and post-secondary students studying cooperatives will have a chance to attend the Cooperative Leaders and Scholars Institute (CLSI) in October.
"The CHS Foundation philanthropy has created a network of cooperative education and development initiatives that positively impact people and communities. The Cooperative Education Grant to CDF will help expose young cooperators to cutting edge research and contemporary issues facing co-ops, deepen their knowledge of cooperative sectors and provide opportunities for networking and mentorship," said CDF Executive Director Leslie Mead.
CLSI is an opportunity for co-op employees, board members, or post-secondary students to participate in a national cooperative conference and gain exposure to co-op industry and thought leaders, policymakers, and other key stakeholders
The CHS Foundation is funded by charitable gifts from CHS Inc., Inver Grove Heights, MN, the nation's leading farmer-owned cooperative and a global energy, grains and foods company. The CHS Foundation is focused on developing a new generation of agriculture leaders.
