Apply for a Bowers Fund Grant, Strengthen Your Food Co-op

Food cooperatives, developers and organizing groups can apply for the first round of bi-annual grants from the Howard Bowers Fund. Grants support training and education for food cooperative boards and staff, conference sponsorships, and educational material development. The deadline for the Spring grant cycle is February 15, 2020. For more information on requirements and application process, visit www.cdf.coop/bowersfund. 

Grant applications are reviewed by the Howard Bowers Board of Advisors; their grant recommendations are presented to the CDF Board of Directors for approval. Applicants will be notified by mid-April. 

Since 1994, the Bowers Fund has granted over $500,000, offering the kind of assistance food co-ops need to open strong and stay competitive. In addition to its seasonal grant cycles, the fund offers up to 25 scholarships to CCMA each year.
