2020 CDF annual report recaps accomplishments

With over $1,300,000 in grantmaking and spending on programmatic work, successful virtual events, and increased partnerships and outreach, CDF continued to grow in its impact and relevance to the cooperative community in 2020.

The 2020 annual report highlights the organization's continued growth in reputation and financial resources as it works to grow member-owned and controlled cooperatives, develop authentic local leaders and strengthen communities.

"In a year dominated by a global pandemic, when other foundations and nonprofits cut back, CDF increased its grantmaking to meet the needs of cooperatives and their members who faced a world turned upside down by illness, job loss, shuttered schools and businesses, and uncertainty. CDF's capacity to accomplish so much in 2020 was a direct result of the many years of prudent and principled oversight of the Cooperative Development Foundation's assets and the support we enjoy from the co-op community, " wrote CDF Board Chair Rich Larochelle in the annual report.
