CDF has suspended the annual United Co-op Appeal in 2014. We appreciate the support of co-op employees and others who have provided donations over the years and the work of the Cooperative Development Organizations that were the recipients of the funds. However, CDF believes it is time to re-evaluate the program (structure and effectiveness) in 2014 and decide if it’s an initiative that CDF will re-activate for 2015 or if there is a more effective way to increase financial support for cooperative development organizations. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact CDF staff.
The United Co-op Appeal (UCA) is an annual workplace giving program that is managed by the Cooperative Development Foundation. UCA provides unrestricted dollars for six of CDF’s funds and nine organizations that use the cooperative business model to bring economic development to individuals and communities throughout the United States and around the world. Since it began in 1992, UCA has raised over $1.5 million to support cooperatives and cooperative development organizations.
