CDF provides numerous opportunities to put your organization in front of members of the coop community and beyond! Those opportunities include:
1. Be a sponsor of the Hall of Fame!
The Hall of Fame gala is the crowning moment of the coop community each year. Your name and branding could be in front of more than 400 cooperative business leaders, making this opportunity unique and where your charitable contribution can also make a difference to your business!
2. Be a sponsor of the 5K Race for Cooperative Development!
The Race for Cooperative Development is a fun, family-friendly event that has long been a staple in the DC community. The course is a 5 kilometer loop around the beautiful East Potomac Park. Past raffle and award prizes have included skybox tickets to a Redskins game; tickets to see the Nationals,Wizards, and Capitals; $100 gift certificates to restaurants such as Morton’s, and the Fourth Estate at the National Press Club; weekend stays at a variety of upscale DC hotels; and more! Particpants also get to enjoy our “Feast at the Finish Line,†with food and drink from nearby cooperatives such as Land-O-Lakes, Marvamaid, Sunkist, Blue Diamond Growers, and Greenbelt Food.
3. Be a sponsor of CDF’s “Celebration of Co-op Art and Craft†Auction!
Last year, more than 14,000 people visited this auction a total of 360,000 times! This is a choice opportunity to support an emerging coop sector, while marketing to fellow coop supporters doing their holiday shopping. This event has done nothing but grow since its inception and provides terrific opportunity for new sponsors.
4. Become a Host for the United Co-op Appeal Campaign!
The United Co-op Appeal (UCA) is an annual workplace giving program that is managed by the Cooperative Development Foundation. UCA supports more than a dozen non-profit organizations that use the cooperative enterprise model to bring self-sufficiency and economic development to individuals and communities through the United States and around the world. Since it began 14 years ago, UCA has raised over $1 million to support cooperative development projects.
