Co-op Innovation Fund – Recent grants
Since the Co-op Innovation Fund was formed in 2010, it has given the following grants:
- $10,000 to CooperationWorks! to write a business plan for the organization in the context of developing a plan for a program to fund urban cooperative development throughout the United States
- $28,932 to the National Cooperative Business Association for a study to determine whether and how NCBA can support the conversion of existing housing to cooperative ownership using the resources of various USDA programs. To read the report, click here.
- $31,500 to Cooperative Development Services for a video on the National Cooperative Business Association’s health program in Kenya to educate interested parties so that the program can be replicated in other countries by NCBA and other organizations
- $5,000 to the Overseas Cooperative Development Council to help bring the Kenyan Assistant Minister of Cooperatives to Washington, DC to participate in the CDF/OCDC Forum “Cooperatives Build a Better World”
- $10,000 to College Houses, an Austin housing and education cooperative, for a the documentary on the Austin cooperative community to be called “Many Hands”
- $34,000 to the National Cooperative Business Association for cooperative education and business development
- $13,000 to the National Cooperative Business Association to support the ICA’s international cooperative development conference in Kenya
- $5,000 to Partners Worldwide for their amaranth cooperative project in Uganda
- $4,000 to the National Cooperative Business Association to send a volunteer to Niger as part of their Farmer-to-Farmer project
