WHY: Have fun with your fellow food cooperators! Raise funds for the Bowers Fund to help keep the food co-op sector strong! Help respond to the growing demand for locally-owned, democratically-controlled grocery stores across the country!

WHAT TO DO: Test your musical skills!  Harmonize with your friends, old and new!  Compete with other “bands!” Challenge other players and bands to see who can achieve the highest score!

WHAT YOU GET: Guitar and Rock Band stations and costume accessories!

ADMISSION:
Bowers Fan: $25 (Includes 1 drawing ticket)
Bowers Roadie: $35 (Includes 2 drawing tickets)
Bowers Rock Star: $50 (Includes 3 drawing tickets)

There will be random drawings during the course of the night for Hard Rock Memorabilia!  The more tickets you have the greater your chance to win!

Guitar Hero/Rock Band

Don’t know much about Guitar Hero?  No sweat!  The game is fun and EASY to play! Guitar Hero is a video game that gives its users the ability to play along with songs on fake guitars. Not interested in going at it alone? Rockband allows you to team up with 2 other people to form your own band with a guitar, microphone, and drum set.

Gameplay

The point of Guitar Hero/Rockband is to simply match the colored notes on your Guitar , Drum Set, or Microphone with those scrolling across the screen.  It’s that simple! Here is a great video tutorial.

You begin by choosing a song.  Each song has its own degree of difficulty but each user can also choose how difficult he/she wants the song to be.  The harder the difficulty the more notes you’ll have to incorporate. On Easy mode, only the green, red and yellow buttons are used. On Medium, the blue button is added. On Hard and Expert difficulties, all five coloured buttons are used.  So if you’ve never played in your life you can still rock out with ease!

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock has some classic rock songs that you can’t help but get excited for! Here are just some examples of the classic rock you’ll find at Rockin’ for Bowers:

The entire song list can be found here.  The first 93 songs under “Warriors of Rock” are the songs that will be available to play. Clicking a song will take you to what the actual song sounds like if you’re unfamiliar with it.
