Eligibility
Eligible Grant Applicants must be:
• Any cooperative or cooperative-related organization.
• Other organizations may also apply for a general grant if the intended grant purpose is restricted to charitable purposes, or research or education on a topic related to the Fund's new focus.
• Individuals may apply for a scholarship grant to fund training in cooperative education related to the Fund's new focus.
Proposals should be consistent with the purpose of the Fund:
• To provide the resources to incubate, assess and replicate successful cooperative business models providing goods or services that enhance the quality of life for seniors living in rural America.
Successful Applications will do one or more of the following:
• Contribute to the development of systemic approaches to replicate successful cooperative models that already serve seniors in rural areas.
• Provide technical assistance to aid in the development of co-op ventures that will serve seniors living in rural areas.
• Provide a better understanding of lessons learned from co-ops that have served or are currently serving seniors living in rural areas.
Organizations or Individuals Receiving Grants:
• Will be required to monitor and evaluate their outcomes and submit a final report detailing the results and financial allocations of the effort funded.
• Grantees will be required to use the Fund’s outcomes progress report format that will be linked to the objectives, activities, outcomes and budget they submitted in their grant application.
• Potential grantees who are unable or unwilling to evaluate and report the outcomes they achieve with MSC Fund awards should not apply for funding.
