What is the Race for Cooperative Development?
The Race for Cooperative Development has been a staple in the cooperative community for the past 25 years. The race is an officially registered 5k (3.1 miles) that participants can choose to run or walk. The race is open to the general public, strollers, and pets. This year will be the 23rd observance of the Race for Cooperative Development and we hope you decide to come see what all the excitement is all about. This year’s race will be at Hains Point in East Potomac Park and will be held at 9am on Sunday, October 23rd. Beverages and lite breakfast foods will be provided.

FAQ:
Can I bring my dog or baby stroller?
Absolutely. We have people who bring both every year!
Is food provided?
Water and juices, in addition to bagels, fruit, and muffins will be provided at the race.
Do I have to run?
No! You can choose to run, walk, or jog…it’s your choice!
Can I win prizes?
There are prizes for the top runners in each age group as well as a random drawing for ALL participants.
Is there parking at Hains Point?
There are plenty of parking spots along the course. The metro course is not metro accessible so please carpool with other members of your team.
